COCONUT CHERRY DROPS375 degrees 10-12 minutes – 3 dozen Sift together 1¼ cups flour, ½ tsp. Baking powder, and ½ tsp. Salt. Set aside. Cream ½ cup butter. Gradually add ½ cup sugar, creaming well. Add one unbeaten egg and ½ tsp. almond extract. Beat well. Blend in dry ingredients gradually. Mix thoroughly. Then add ¼ cup chopped maraschino cherries, on cup coconut (finely chopped) and ½ cup shopped pecans. Mix well. Drop by tsp. On well-greased baking sheet. Top each with ¼ maraschino cherry. |
